Yesterday marked the first day of a really cool collaboration with my friend Ramit (aka Train), who started a 365 photography project in February. As he puts it,
I’d never picked up a camera before and I thought it would be an interesting way to challenge myself to learn about photography. When I heard about Chris’ song-a-day enterprise I knew we had to collaborate somehow, and that’s why we’re here today.
Yesterday, Ramit (aka Train) started with his first contribution, by choosing nine existing Ace Reporter songs from my threesixfive project and taking new photographs for them. Check out his post on Audiomuffin. I love his choice of songs, and the pictures he took are fantastic. You can see Ramit’s entire 365 project HERE.
Today’s song is my first contribution to the collab: I’ve picked 7 of Ramit’s existing pictures from the last few months and will proceed to write 7 songs inspired by the photos. Then, at some point in the future Ramit and I will choose a series of themes and each compose music/photographs to those themes and offer you some photo-musical mashups. Like I said: exciting!
Today’s song is for Train’s March 17 post:

I was really excited to hear this one based on the photo. Probably one of the best imho, got a hint of Okkervil River, mmm good.
Why thank you!
